On February 27, RSE joined the Sacramento advertising community for the AAF Sacramento Ad Club ADDY Awards, an annual celebration of Sacramento’s finest advertising efforts. RSE was proud to bring home four ADDY Awards, including Judges’ Choice Award, and we watched proudly as our president Chris Holben was named 2013 Ad Person of the Year.
The Ad Person of the Year Award recognized Chris’ exemplary leadership and continued outstanding contributions to the community and the advertising industry.
“This award is about Estelle Saltzman, Jane Einhorn, Scott Rose, Paul McClure, and Jean Runyon of course,” said Chris in his acceptance speech. “It is about our creative team led by Steve Fong, our media team led by Kelley Kent, our social marketing team led by Norma Rivera. And it’s about Patty Nichols in our accounting department and Phil Milton who answers the phones in our office. This is an honor for RSE.”
RSE received four additional accolades for a campaign developed for the California Mental Health Services Authority (CalMHSA) titled Walk In Our Shoes. The campaign, designed to reduce mental health stigma in young audiences, earned the Judges’ Choice award, as well as two gold ADDY awards and one silver ADDY award.
The ADDY Award competition is hosted by the American Advertising Federation – Sacramento with over 100 years of history in the region. The national American Advertising Federation is the nation’s oldest advertising trade association, representing over 40,000 advertising professionals.
