While the work often gets all of the attention, we at RSE know that the true value of our agency is in the people that make it run. Through our regular series of interviews, we hope to introduce you to the women and men behind the billboards and press releases. This week highlights a birthday girl, Account Assistant, Noelle Maring.
Name: Noelle (and/or Nicole) Maring
Title: Account Assistant
What you wish your title was: Senior Nail Polish Namer at OPI
What we think your title should be:
Allison: Mayor of the Old Sac Subway
Kat: Shameless Flatterer (you’ll understand soon)
Greg: The Person I’ll Look For If My Child Ever Goes Missing
Paul: Singer, Baker, Advertising Maker
Background: School Girl
Years at RSE: .75
Accounts you work on: SAFE Credit Union, The Niello Company, Division of Boating & Waterways, California Community Colleges.
What was your first account/assignment at RSE: Figure out my Halloween costume. “Hurry,” they said. “You only have 3 months to plan!”
Most memorable logo/ad/pr campaign: New logo for SAFE Credit Union.
First thing you notice about people: How much taller they are than me (the chances of me being taller are quite slim).
What is on your mouse pad? Coffee stains.
Craziest/coolest thing you’ve ever done for a client: The other day I had to ask our client if they had any toy boats. Perhaps not crazy, but definitely quirky.
If money and time weren’t an issue, what passion would you pursue? Cheesemonger. Or next American Idol. It’s a tough choice. (well you’ve already taken steps toward that second one…)
Where do you call home? Good ol’ Spokane, Washington.
What is the farthest you’ve been from home? Barcelona – ¡Viva España!
What is your favorite aspect of “agency life”? The people I work with! I get to work alongside the most talented and creative colleagues all day, every day. It makes coming to work in the morning pretty painless.
I heart brunch. (yum, agreed)
What is the best Halloween costume you’ve ever worn? This is hard. It’s a tossup between Avatar and my killer (not in the literal sense) Grandma costume.
Where do you get your news? Wall Street Journal.
You have a 10 minute speech to give at a high school. What is it about? How much better your life will be after high school. (amen!)
If you were going to be stranded on an island with one fellow RSE-er, who would it be. (You can choose whether or not to say why). This question is a trap.
What is the last movie that made you cry? The Lion King… you all know which part I am referring to.
One brand you can’t live without. Emergen-C.
Who inspires you? Kat Haro. (aaawwwww, gag)
What is your proudest moment? When I met Kat Haro. (HA! now I’m embarrassed to post this, hopefully our readers can read digital sarcasm)
Never have I ever Been in a commercial… yet.
